Meet the Naptime Pillow

I seriously love pillows. Over the past six months I have made about a zillion. I have more pillow covers than my house could handle pillows. The spare covers are stacked like home decor pelts (insert odd image of interior designer hunter/gatherer here).

But this one is gonna stay well stuffed for quilt a while, and not just because it is made from Pear Tree. This is Bee’s favorite pillow. She likes the zig-zags, but I like the barely hidden columns of Zs (hence the name Naptime Pillow).

I am pretty sure this is going to be a habit for me; I’m going to be sneaking letters into my designs for years to come. I think that is inevitable after spending years teaching typography. I don’t know if I’ll ever do big letter blocks for a quilt, but those letterforms are gonna keep showing up, or at least bits of them.

But, back to the Naptime Pillow. The pattern is currently available in the Thomas Knauer Sews shop, and will be coming to retailers (both online and brick and mortar) soon. If you have a shop and are interested in carrying these (or any of my other patterns) just drop me an email.

Happy sewing!!!

Hugs,
Thomas
