Honored…

I know it has been a while since I’ve posted; there has just been so much going on, so many things getting started and/or wrapped up. In the midst of it all, though, I just wanted to take a moment to share something new…

I am so incredibly honored and humbled to have In Defense of Handmade as part of the International Quilt Study Center Museum’s World Quilts online project. The first module — The American Story — is up and they have included In Defense of Handmade as an example of Contemporary Quilt Activism. And if that wasn’t humbling enough, the Contemporary Activism section follows the section on the AIDS Quilt, yep THE AIDS QUILT!!! It is the quilt that really put quilting and fiber arts on my radar so many years ago. A lot of great things have happened to me here in the quilting world, but right now, I am simply blown away…

So, thank you to the IQSCM; you have started my new year on an incredibly high note…
