You do realise that when you’re driving from Oxford to Exeter that you’ll be 10 mins drive from Chepstow and its castle…

You’re coming all the way over here to the UK to go to Leeds?!!! Oh dear God lol Oh well, while she’s in conference you can maybe take the train to Whitby for the day, which has a fab ruined Abbey on top of a cliff overlooking the North Sea which supposedly was part of the whole Dracula story. Oh, and it’s the seaside so Bee would have fun :o) You may be all out of luck for cream teas (which are Devon/Cornwall, ie the bottom left hand corner of the country) as you’ll be north and east though…

Oxford is great. The museums are free entry nowadays and they have revamped the Ashmolean not so long ago. Mind you my daughters (7 and 8) prefer the Oxford university Museum of Natural History aka “the fun museum with the dinosaurs”.
