Well, it just continues around here. The wee ones are getting more and more British everyday, at least if you accept all they idealized notions of what the lives of British children are like. Not only is Bee helping to make gingerbread men (which she subsequently decorated with the neighbor children who just happened to pop over)…

K even gave Bee a quick lessons in punting, and Babbit had his first princely tour of the River Cam…

Next think you know Mary Poppins is going to come knocking at our door with a spoonful of sugar and a recommendation for a first-rate chimney sweep (not that we actually have a chimney).

But soon we’ll be settling in to a proper routine: Bee will start school in a few days, K will get to work in the libraries, and I’ll have to get back to work on the next wave of projects. That reminds me; don’t let me forget to apply for membership to the Center for Material Texts here in Cambridge. I have some ideas for a new fabric collection, assuming I can land a new fabric gig at all…

Anyway, I’m going to kick off the Braille Quilt Along this week, so get ready…

    What a fantastic time of life for Bea and Rabbit! Not many children can say that they grew up in the WORLD! Not just in one place 🙂

    Oh, Clare Hall! Oh, Cambridge! Oh, the Cam! Now I have to go have a cream tea to continue feeding my nostalgia.

    Remember: stay with the boat, not with the pole! Though it doesn’t look as though either of you needs any directions. M. also gets points and props for having such a coordinated get-up: striped tights with pink life vest? Well done, young one. Well done.
