Xmas Quilts: Part One

There were a lot of quilts moving around over Xmas; most of which I can show you. (Sorry, can’t help but tease a little.) First up is Bee’s Xmas quilt; I have a feeling she’s gonna finish grad school with a whole lot of quilts, likely one for every Xmas from now on.

Anyway, this one is both her Xmas quilt and her transition quilt; it’s her first big girl bed quilt for when she moves into her Mama’s old twin bed later this year (it’s a rather ornate old wooden bed, so Bee calls it her “Princess Bed”). And what better for her first quilt for that bed than Aneela Hooey’s new line: A Walk in the Woods?

I’ll get better pics someday, once it finds its home on Bee’s big bed, or when the short, grey days of winter get brighter and longer, but I’m going to have to wait a little while longer for both of those things.

I have to admit that I don’t mind waiting a little longer for Bee to grow up that little bit more. At the same time I am kind of excited to see the pile of my quilts Bee has when she moves into her first real apartment. Though mostly I am just looking forward to spending as much time with her as possible as she figures out who she is. (Insert great, big, giant love here!!!)

Now I think it’s time to sneak into her room and watch her sleep for a minute and then make some dinner. I probably ought to be hungry or something at this point.

Hugs,
T
