Hi all…
Sorry I haven’t been around much lately; it has been an amazing and hectic month for me. Unfortunately I can’t quite tell you all about it just yet. Suffice it to say there will be some exciting announcements in the month of July, and a lot of great things happening later this year!!! Yay!!!
Meanwhile, it is about time to start the Summer of Scrap Vomit. I received well over 5,000 scraps and squares and now the final sort has begun. The squares get sorted by color, sub-color, sub-style, and occasionally a few more subs in order to make sure I don’t have any duplicates…
Here you can see some of the process of sorting the dark/complex cream prints.
I’ve made it through cream, yellow, orange, and purple. That leaves the giant piles of reds, blues, and greens to go. I am holding off on blacks until last ’cause I still need some more of those. I’m going to be making the outer diamond of the SV pattern with black-based squares, and need about 200 more. So, if you wanna send along some black squares or scraps I would be forever indebted. I’d be happy to send along some of my duplicate squares in return (I have quite a pile of those).
So, July and August are going to be the months of Scrap Vomit. I hope to piece both the queen and the twin tops this summer and host a Scrap Vomit Pillow Swap. I’ll have a couple of SV related giveaways. This is going to be so much fun!!!
And of course there are the big announcements coming down the pike; can’t forget those…
Oh, one more Scrap Vomit thing. Of course Bee couldn’t resist getting in on the Scrap Vomit fun. She one of my bags of scraps while I was on my final cutting spree. Let’s just say fun was had…
So, I’m gonna be away for the next couple of weeks, but get ready for me to come back full-time in July, with lots and lots of Scrap Vomit pics, stories, and exciting news…

I think I sent you what little black I have…black with silver stars, black and white stripes. Do you have both of those? I’ll check if I have any others.

Tom, what will your line of fabrics be called? I’m going to one of my favorite quilt shops tomorrow. It’s like back to the 1800′s combined with 2011. I want to be sure to tell Margie to look out for your stuff!

So much happening right now. The first line is Pear Tree, and the next one is… (That still has to wait a bit.)
I get so tickled seeing the prints that I sent along!
But seeing that “Brown Bear” print next to your daughter reminded me of some of my own sewing that I need to do – oops.
