Set the Table…

Confession: I have a terrible weakness, one I probably should never admit. I am a sucker for Karen Burns; when she writes to ask me to do something I cannot say no. Luckily she never asks for anything I am not happy to do. For example: this…

thomas-knauer-sews-set-the table-1

A while back Karen asked if I’d design a little something for a book she was putting together (Set the Table), and of course I said yes. I just happened to have a quilt design I had been playing with and it adapted quite nicely to a table runner. So whiz-bang lickity-split we were off and running. I made my martini shakers, the fantastic Lisa Sipes quilted it up for me with some deft angle work, and off it went.

Well, the book is now on sale. Of course the pattern for my runner is in there, along with ten others. You can pick it up at the Martingale shop here, or go bang on your LQS to carry it…

Or, of course you can see if you might win one in the giveaway I am running here. I know, I don’t normally do giveaways, but Martingale sent me some and they need homes. So I’ll be giving away four (4) signed copies here on the blog. All you have to do is comment on this post (and make sure there is an email address to contact you) to enter. I’ll be doing the drawing on August 9th…

It would be swell if you’d tweet or FB this, but I ain’t doing the bonus entry thing. I will be running a second side giveaway for a copy over on the Thomas Knauer Sews FB page, but that is an entirely different beast…

So, comment away, and good luck. And if you don’t win you can always pick up your own copy out in the world…
