Paper Bag Princess

I love this book!!!

And Bee does too, which makes sense since her idea of being a princess generally includes rescuing things with her sword…

Who wouldn’t love a book about a princess who makes due with a paper bag after all her stuff is destroyed, who rescues the prince from a dragon, and then decides she doesn’t need him when he turns out to be a jerk.

I can only hope Bee remains like that forever…

(Though I hope she never has to wear a paper bag, but if she did I am sure she would make the coolest paper bag dress ever!!!)

I agree, though I’m still looking for books that have strong princesses in which the princes *aren’t* jerks. Or in which the princess marries another princess and they live happily ever after together. I want Bee to know that there are a wide range of good options out there!

I also would like to see good books where the princess decides to live happily ever after on her own–not because the prince was a jerk but because she likes living on her own! 😉

Sounds like a fun book, and sounds like my kind of princess (all the frills get in the way of a good rescue)

Monster Mama is a very cool book too, although it doesn’t have a princess in it. I’m not sure if it’s even still in print. The kiddo section of your public library is full of treasures, too.
