Milo???

Hi all…

Just taking a quick break from the hectic chaos that will soon subside slightly to share a bit of news…

It’s a boy (or will be early next year)…

I think he looks rather like a Milo. Bee is already quite smitten with him.

And now back to the frantic sewing of many quilts and the preparations for Sewing Summit and Quilt Market…

Ack!!!

Yay Milo!!!

I just read that Miles is an ‘older’ version of Milo. But Milo sounds like a great name too. 🙂 How about these names? (these are kids of friends of mine) tavi, mika, finn and lasse (all northern european/finnish names)

I remember probably 25 years ago when my SIL was pregnant. We called the poor little thing Mile for 8 months. He’s called Scott now!

Exciting news! Great name. I love the ultrasound photos, they give you lots of opportunity to use your imagination….come to think of it, maybe you’d best have an alternative just in case that’s a misplaced umbilical cord or something! Cecelia, or Cee, to go with Bee, would be neat!

Yeah, my parents called me George when I was in utero. Even when my mom was about to deliver me, they were telling her I had a boy’s heartbeat and that she should have her boys’ names ready.

So, when they told her my brother had a girl’s heartbeat and she should get the girls’ names ready, she and my dad decided on Andrew.

Of course, she didn’t have ultrasounds of either of us.

    hi thomas,

i have been reading your blog for several months now….and have fallen in love. i love your fabric designs…especially savanna bop…anything with elephants makes me swoon. i especially loved your post about the pink hippos. i also love your love for your daughter. you are a wonderful example of the modern father taking an active role in his daughter’s day to day life. LOVE! and then there are your quilts. stunning! you have inspired me in so many ways. thank you. congratulations on the upcoming birth of your son. i really do hope you & the wife name him milo. i lost a dear friend named milo several years ago. he was an incredible artist and designer. it makes me happy to know there will be more milos on the planet to fill the void he left.

    xo susan 🙂
