The Thing About Dragon Machines…

So, Sewing Summit is in just a few weeks, and I still have to figure out how to talk about the practice of fabric design. The how-to is easy, but I want to really talk about the whole nine yards of it. Repeats are easy, software can be learned, aesthetics can be taught, but then there is everything else that goes into it, the at times infuriating mess that is working in the fabric world.

Today, thanks to Bee, I think I figured it out…

You might think this is a confused mess, but you’d be wrong. It’s a Dragon Machine. Bee put a lot of work into this, and most everything has a purpose, even if we don’t know what the heck that purpose is. Now Bee’s job is to keep it all from just crumbling into a dangerous heap…

Yep, I know that feeling well.

Yay Dragon Machines!!!

That looks pretty chaotic. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t work with that going on. Can you?
