Day off…

While I in no way have the time to take a day off right now, this close to Market, I did just that. I am apparently sassy like that or something…

Anyway, it was a fabulous day with Bee: stories were read, snacks were had, playgrounds were visited, and she has even composed a poem for Mother’s Day, though she won’t share it yet. All she’ll say about it is: “I have something in my mind. It’s a poem but I cannot show it yet because it isn’t Mama’s Day.”

As always, I love her so insanely much. I am pretty sure she is absolutely perfect…

Though my favorite part of the day may be her glamorous pyjama pictures after her bath tonight…

(Note the tee shirt from the Strand Bookstore in NYC. I’ve promised to take her there; from what I’ve told her about it I think she imagines it as heaven.)

I may have to work overtime tomorrow to make up for today, but it was totally worth it. I so verily wish I could bring her to Market…

Hugs,

I am so glad you took a day off. You will be surprised at how much easier it will be to work tomorrow. While you are sewing or designing you will be able to dream about your day with your family.

The Strand IS heaven! I’m there every weekend… I think it’s my favorite store (and lots of quilting books, too).

I, like Greg in #2, was going to ask, “But isn’t the Strand one version of heaven?” Though Foyle’s in London is really my jam. If we get to London while you’re here, we’ll go there to see their piranhas in the kids’ section.
