Okay. I can finally let the cat out of the bag. Know how I haven’t really been showing many Flock quilts? Well here is one of the reasons why; my first quilt with Flock is one the cover of the soon to hit the stands June 2012 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting:

You have no idea how excited I am. Not only do I love the heck out of Flock, and not only is this my first magazine quilt, but it landed smack dab on the cover. If I weren’t feeling so insanely sick right now I’d be skipping around the room.
This quilt was insane to make, not so much because it is a difficult quilt to make, but because it was done on the shortest of deadlines. I had to piece it in two days, and then send it off to the extraordinary Lisa Sipes, who had to quilt it lickity-split. And not only did she quilt it amazingly, but she also took care of the binding because we weren’t going to have time for the extra back-and-forth shipping and still make the deadline. You know I love the hell out of you, right Lisa???
I love the subtle complexity of Lisa’s quilting. Keep your eyes out for lots more collaborations between Lisa and me in the coming months and years. Yay!!!
Know what else I love about this quilt? The back. You know I’m going to have this back up on my bed every once in a while…
Wanna know another awesome thing about this quilt? Know who’s gonna have kits? Lola Pink Fabrics. The awesome just doesn’t stop. Love you J & J!!!
So keep your eyes out for the new issue of APQ; it goes on sale April 3rd. Yippee!!!!
Hugs,
T

Thank you. I really, really love this one. It just feels so me. And so Flock…
And Lisa’s quilting is just so utterly perfect for it…
I love this quilt! It makes a statement. If you did it in two days maybe I could di it in two weeks. I am sorry you are so ill. Hope you feel better soon.
This is just fabulous news!! I am so pleased for you and proud of you! All those half-square triangles! Two days! Good grief!!
I’ll be watching my mailbox!
This quilt was actually surprisingly forgiving, though I do find myself far more comfortable with small pieces than large ones. And I keep meaning to call, but then end up perpetually submerged with projects like this…
Congratulations and Congratulations and Congratulations! Lots of good thoughts headed your way for continued success.
Thanks all!!! And keep your eyes out for more in the coming months…
A W E S O M E ! ! !
